TaleShake is the working title until the name clears — TaleTangle is still in the running.
Storytellers
Pass-and-play on one device. 1 to 8 players, each with a story buddy you can name.
Game mode
Casual: a missed turn just passes along. Good for families and classrooms.
Turn timer
Timer starts after the reels land. Submit early whenever you're ready.
Solo story goal
Solo mode only (one storyteller): you and the Storyweaver, an AI partner, take turns building one tale. Finish the goal to earn story points (placeholder numbers). Solo play is untimed, at your own pace.
Sound
Music needs one tap on the 🎵 button up top to start (phones require it). Sound effects arrive with a future asset drop.
Shake-Ups — word packs
How a turn works
- Tap SHAKE! — five reels land on five words, one from each category: Character, Place, Object, Action, and Twist.
- Read the story so far, then write 1 to 5 sentences that continue the same shared story.
- Your sentences must use all five words. Five sentences is a ceiling, not a target.
- Submit and pass the device to the next storyteller.
- Think a turn doesn't really continue the tale? Any other storyteller can Challenge! it before the next turn starts. The table votes, and a tie favors the storyteller.
The app checks the five words and counts sentences. Whether a turn truly continues the story is still the table's call — talk it out like humans.

The Storyweaver's five words
Solo AI turns require the hosted Claude version and your permission. A standalone HTML file or GitHub Pages copy cannot call an AI. The Storyweaver must contribute before your next turn.
