Every story begins with a spark.
Shake the reels. Twist the tale!
TaleShake is the working title until the name clears — TaleTangle is still in the running.
Pass-and-play on one device. 1 to 8 players, each with a story buddy you can name.
Casual: a missed turn just passes along. Good for families and classrooms.
Timer starts after the reels land. Submit early whenever you're ready.
Solo mode only (one storyteller): you and the Storyweaver, an AI partner, take turns building one tale. Finish the goal to earn story points (placeholder numbers). Solo play is untimed, at your own pace.
Little storytellers love a picture on every reel; older tables may like them sprinkled in as surprises, or words only. Remembered on this device.
Music needs one tap on the 🎵 button up top to start (phones require it). Sound effects arrive with a future asset drop.
The app checks the five words and counts sentences. Whether a turn truly continues the story is still the table's call — talk it out like humans.
The cottage room with our first real furniture piece: the Moonlit Dream Bed. Drag it anywhere, turn it, resize it. Signed-in storytellers' rooms save to their account; guests keep theirs on this device.
Keyboard works too: focus the bed, move with the arrow keys, rotate with R.
Every buddy so far. Outfits and cottage decor arrive with the shop.
Sign in on the welcome screen to adopt a companion that stays yours between visits.
Dreamleema, fresh out of Meshy — an early test of the 3D pet companion idea. Drag to spin her around!
The cottage, seen from the village lane — its room is up in the Decorating Den now.
Story Sparks are earned by playing: +10 for each valid solo turn, and +50 / +125 / +350 for finishing a 10 / 20 / 50-round tale. Your first companion is always free.
The shop opens in a future chapter: themed Shake-Up word packs, and pet outfits, hats and cottage decor bought with earned story points — never real money for points.
The app only checks words and sentences. Whether a turn truly continues the tale is the table's call.
Pass the device to the named voter. Everyone except the author votes once. A tie lets the tale stand.
The Storyweaver's five words
The Storyweaver writes through TaleShake's own server for signed-in storytellers (or through Claude in the hosted version); a plain offline copy can't call an AI. It must contribute before your next turn, and solo stories save to your account as you play.
Five reels · Five words · One tale!
Oooh! Shake the reels and let's see what we get!
